With views from the bar across Omey Strand to the world-famous Omey Island, it is a place where you can relax over delicious fresh food and a drink, and truly feel the peace of this magical area in North-west Connemara. Claddaghduff, Omey, and the whole Aughrus Peninsula are on the WILD ATLANTIC WAY - a beautiful, unspoilt part of it, and yet only a 15 minute drive from Clifden.
Sweeney's pride themselves on running the kind of business that really shows customers it's family run. Proprietors Mary Sweeney and Malachy are always somewhere on hand to lend a friendly ear and help you out. The staff of Sweeney's are all long term, having worked there for many years: Liz, Teresa, Paul, Roisin, and others who lend a hand from the Sweeney family...it really is one happy family, and it shows.

Sweeney's truly has come a long, long way since its early beginnings (Mary took over the business from her own parents, so it has been in existence for a long time now).
